Holistic Healing Through Rongoā Māori and Integrative Care

Experience holistic care that brings together traditional Rongoā Māori and complementary therapeutic practices to support the body, mind, and wairua. Every session is thoughtfully personalised, drawing on traditional plant medicine, hands-on therapies, and other evidence-informed techniques to meet your individual needs. Care is provided with cultural respect, professional understanding, and genuine aroha, creating a safe and supportive space for healing, balance, and restoration.

This integrative approach recognises the connection between physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing, working alongside the body’s natural healing processes to encourage resilience, comfort, and overall wellness.

Appointments are available on Mondays at Shop 6, Taumarunui Arcade, as well as by appointment from my Matiere home clinic or through mobile home visits throughout the surrounding region.

Meet Angel Harden

Angel Harden is a Rongoā tauira (student of traditional Māori healing) based in Matiere, New Zealand. She is currently completing the final year of her Level 5 Diploma in Rongoā, with the goal of obtaining ACC accreditation next year. Her ongoing study reflects a deep commitment to honouring traditional Māori healing practices, plant medicine, and holistic wellbeing.

A retired naturopath with many years of experience in natural health, Angel combines this knowledge with her continuing education in Rongoā Māori, tikanga, and the relationship between people and the natural world. Her approach is gentle, respectful, and centred on supporting each person’s individual healing journey.

Angel provides treatments both from her home clinic and as a mobile practitioner throughout the King Country, making care accessible and personal for those who may find travel difficult.

She also serves as the Cancer Society Treatment Support representative for Taumarunui, supporting people undergoing cancer treatment and their whānau with compassionate, culturally grounded care.

Living in rural New Zealand allows Angel to remain closely connected to the whenua, where she continues to learn, respectfully harvest, and prepare traditional plant-based remedies. Every treatment is guided by manaakitanga, respect, and a genuine desire to support the wellbeing of others.

Whether you’re seeking support for pain, recovery, stress, or overall wellbeing, Angel is committed to walking alongside you with compassion, respect, and care.
